Career Summary

Atlanta United acquired Alex Kapp on January 17th, 2017. He was selected 68th overall by Atlanta in the third round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.

Kapp played the 2016 season as a graduate student at Creighton University following four years at Boston College, one of which he redshirted. He played in 62 collegiate matches, making more than 200 saves between his time in the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big East. While with the Eagles, Kapp finished top-5 in saves in the conference in each of his three seasons as Boston College’s starting goalkeeper. His senior year, Kapp helped the Eagles reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. During his only year at Creighton, he set a career-high with 78 saves over 23 starts. Kapp piloted the Blue Jays to the finals of the Big East Tournament and the third round in the NCAA Tournament.
