National Signing Day: Six Atlanta United Academy Players Headed for NCAA Division I

2017 National Signing Day

National Signing Day has arrived which marks one of the most significant and memorable moments for high school athletes. Though many of them make verbal commitments to colleges and universities, today is the first time that athletes are allowed to officially sign for their prospective schools.

Less than a year ago Atlanta United formed its Academy and today the club witnessed six of its U-18 members sign letters of intent to play soccer at NCAA Division I schools. This is not only a testament to the hard work and determination of the players but to their desire to pursue higher education while continuing to play the sport they love at the next level.

Congratulations to all of our players as well as all the athletes around the country who have participated in National Signing Day and committed to collegiate athletics!
