ATL UTD 2 is owned and operated by AMB Sports & Entertainment and is the United Soccer League (USL) affiliate of Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United. ATL UTD 2 joined USL for its expansion 2018 season and will play its home matches at Fifth Third Bank Stadium at Kennesaw State University.

“ATL UTD 2 is the fundamental link in our club’s vertical integration, connecting our Academy teams to our First Team,” Atlanta United Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra said. “This team gives us a chance to challenge academy players at the professional level while also giving our First Team players an opportunity to stay match fit and when returning from injury. This team will be a blend of local talent and seasoned pros.”

Jack Collison

Jack Collison

Head Coach

Jack Collison was named Head Coach of Atlanta United 2 on June 3, 2021. Collison joined Atlanta United in August 2019 as head coach of the U-17 Academy team. The Watford, England native began his coaching career in 2015 with Peterborough’s Academy, and he stayed with the club until 2017. He then made a return to West Ham United, where he spent the majority of his professional career, to coach the U-14, U-16 and U-18 squads.

Interim Assistant Coach

Omar Jarun is a Head Coach for the Atlanta United Academy and Interim Assistant Coach of Atlanta United 2. He joined the club in August 2018 ahead of the 2018/19 Academy season. brings domestic and international experience with him to the club. Following his playing career, Jarun coached at several youth clubs in Georgia, and also had a stint as the assistant coach for Clayton State University.

Lewis Sharpe

Lewis Sharpe

Goalkeeper Coach

Lewis Sharpe was promoted to ATL UTD 2 Goalkeeper Coach prior to the 2020 season. He most recently served as the Atlanta United Academy goalkeeper coach since 2017. Sharpe attended Georgia Gwinnett College where he holds nearly every goalkeeper record in the program’s history. He joined GGC’s men’s soccer coaching staff for the 2017 season and was an assistant coach at Oglethorpe University in 2018-2020 when the team won the SAA regular season championship both years.
