Previous Meeting
Atlanta United 2 currently holds a 1-0-1 (W-L-D) record against FC Cincinnati 2. The last matchup between the two sides resulted in a convincing 3-1 victory for Atlanta at Fifth Third Stadium on September 2, 2023. Atlanta broke through in the 16th minute of the match when Karim Tmimi received a well-placed pass in the middle of the box from Machop Chol, slotting it in the bottom left corner of the net. Jay Fortune doubled the Atlanta lead in the 30th minute after collecting a rebound outside the box before taking a powerful one-time shot. ATL UTD 2 capped off the scoring in the 82nd minute after Nick Firmino showed off his dribbling skills to cut through the box and tap in Atlanta’s third goal of the match.

Welcome Ramzi
This past week, Atlanta United 2 announced the signing of defender Ramzi Qawasmy. The 24-year-old defender joins ATL UTD 2 after spending the 2023 season with USL Championship side Louisville City FC where he made two appearances. Prior to his time with Louisville, Qawasmy had a prolific collegiate career with Providence College, making 88 appearances, all starts, over five seasons. During his tenure with the Friars, Qawasmy netted seven goals and one assist from 2018-22 and was a four-time All-BIG EAST honoree. While in college, Qawasmy also played for Reading United (USL League Two) in 2021 and West Chester United (USL League Two) in 2022.

Last Time Out
ATL UTD 2 is coming off a 5-0 home loss to Philadelphia Union II on Monday, April 15. Despite outshooting Philadelphia 11-10, the home side was unable to create any dangerous chances in the contest.
