Atlanta United 2 returns to action Sunday, July 9 when it travels to face Crown Legacy FC at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex at Matthews. The match is scheduled to kick off at 5:00 p.m. EDT and will be streamed live on Apple TV - MLS Season Pass.

In ATL UTD 2's last match on Sunday, June 25, the team came back from a two goal deficit in the second half to defeat NYCFC II 4-2. Nick Firmino scored a brace while Aiden McFadden and Jackson Conway each scored to help the team earn three points at home. Jonantan Villal also added his first two assists of the season.

NICK FIRMINO

The league leading goal scorer with 10 was awarded MLS NEXT Pro's mid-season MVP award, as well as June's player of the month with five goals and one assist in the month. Before the team's two week break, the Brazilian midfielder made his MLS debut against NYCFC and scored in the 95th minute to earn Atlanta a point in a 2-2 draw at Mercedes Benz Stadium. In his last match for ATL UTD 2, Firmino's brace helped lift Atlanta over NYCFC II in a comeback win. Firmino has scored 10 goals on 42 shots (fourth in the league), with 17 of those shots on target.

PREVIOUS MEETING

In the last meeting between the two clubs, Crown Legacy defeated Atlanta 2-1 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Efraín Morales scored his lone goal of the season off a set piece header from Tyler Wolff. However, a Vinicius Mello goal in the fourth minute and late goal from Markó Filipovic helped seal the victory for Crown Legacy.
