Atlanta United 2 returns to action Friday, July 28 to host Columbus Crew 2 at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground with the match being played behind closed doors. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. EDT and will be streamed live on while fans can also tune into the Soccer Down Here audio stream.

In ATL UTD 2's last match on Sunday, July 23, the team fell 4-2 to Huntsville City FC. Luke Brennan scored his third goal of the season, while Nick Firmino knocked in his 12th goal off a free kick from distance to break Atlanta United 2's single season goalscoring record. It was ATL UTD 2's first direct free kick goal of the season.

The 18-year-old midfielder has been an integral part of the team's attack on the right wing with deep runs into the final third or crosses whipped into the box. The homegrown has started in all of his 18 appearances so far this season. Brennan is tied for the team lead in assists with four, while adding four goals to his 2023 campaign.


Atlanta picked up a point in the 2-2 draw to Crew 2 on June 15 at Historic Crew Stadium. Firmino and Jackson Conway each scored, while Brennan added two assists. Justin Garces made his season debut after recovering from an ACL injury he suffered last season. Columbus earned the extra point in the 6-5 shootout victory at home.


Atlanta enters Sunday's match with a 6-8-5-1 (W-L-T-SOW) record, currently in 10th place in the Eastern Conference and fifth in the Central Division with 24 points. ATL UTD 2 is 6-3-1 at home this season as the team gets set for its second meeting against Crew 2 this season.
