Liam Curran served as ATL UTD 2’s goalkeeper coach in 2018 and returns in 2019. He is also the goalkeeper coach for Atlanta United’s Academy.
Prior to joining Atlanta United, he served as Clemson University Assistant Coach (2012-16). During his time with the Tigers, the squad became 2015 NCAA National Finalists, 2014 ACC Tournament Champions and 2014 ACC Atlantic Division Champions. Curran also served as University of Akron Goalkeeper Coach (2010-12) for the 2011 MAC Champions, 2010 NCAA National Champions and 2010 MAC Championship squad. Curran has coached and mentored four professional goalkeepers including former Clemson GK Andrew Tarbell (San Jose Earthquakes; selected 8th overall in 2016 MLS SuperDraft), Former Clemson GK Chris Glodack (Tampa Bay Rowdies), Former Clemson GK Cody Mizell (Charlotte Independence), and Former Akron GK David Meves (Puerto Rico FC). Curran brings strong pedigree in goalkeeper coaching, and is well versed in performance analysis. He holds a NSCAA Advanced Diploma.
