Dreams become a reality. Commissioner Don Garber joins Atlanta United owner Arthur Blank to award the city of Atlanta an MLS franchise.

July 7, 2015

Atlanta United is born. The team's name and logo is unveiled before a packed crowd in Atlanta.

January 5, 2016

Alex Tambakis becomes the first signing in Atlanta United history.

September 27, 2016

Gerardo "Tata" Martino is named the first head coach in Atlanta United history.

November 15, 2016

The Five Stripes are born. Atlanta United reveals its first primary kit.

February 11, 2017

Atlanta United take the field for the first time in a preseason match against Chattanooga FC, and unveil their inaugural secondary kit.
