Last week, Atlanta United announced the signing of the club's first inaugural head coach in Gerardo "Tata" Martino. Not only did the club release the news, United also called on the club's fans, followers, and supporters to offer the Argentine a proper welcome to the city of Atlanta.
With the video below, the MLS expansion club asked the people of the twitter world to Raise your glass for Tata! introducing the hashtag #ToastTata in honor of the new arrival:

It didn't take long for the hashtag to pick up steam. As the week rolled on, #ToastTata garnered 1,342 posts ranging from the clinking of champagne glasses to raised cups of mate, a traditional drink from the Argentine coach's homeland.
Quick to support Tata were fellow local professional sports organizations including the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves & Atlanta Dream as well as renowned professional boxer, Roy Jones Jr. Fans, media reporters, and Tata's new Atlanta United players also chimed in to demonstrate their excitement. Even popular southern country music group Zac Brown Band wished Tata good luck in his new endeavor.
The massive engagement with #ToastTata in conjunction with the support from the people of Atlanta and around the world proved how monumental this signing is not only for the club, the city, and the league, but also for soccer in the United States.
