Atlanta United’s success on the field has been mirrored all season by success off it – in the offices that keep the team ticking behind the scenes. And the club’s latest addition to the front office staff is getting some deserved recognition.
Catie Griggs, who joined Atlanta United as the new Vice President of Business Operations last month, has been named a “Gamechanger” by the Sports Business Journal. An honor reserved for women making the biggest impact across the sports landscape, the journal highlighted her role building a research consultancy group – Future Sport & Entertainment – from the ground up, in large part due to cultivating strategic relationships within the industry.
Upon her hiring earlier this year, club president Darren Eales said, “Catie is an excellent addition to Atlanta United’s leadership team. She brings a diverse set of skills that will help the club continue to build on an incredible start, strengthen existing partnerships and elevate fan engagement. Most importantly, we see Catie as a perfect fit for our team’s entrepreneurial culture and her leadership qualities and values-orientation as great assets to the growth of our team and associates.”
As Atlanta United’s Vice President of Business Operations, she will now lead marketing, strategy and operations for the club on the heels of moving into its new home — Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
