The excitement of the game will be the same, but many aspects of an event day experience in-stadium will reflect the new normal. Your health and safety, along with that of our players, coaches, and personnel, is – and always has been – priority number one.

To that end, Atlanta United has worked together with state and local officials to safely open Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Major League Soccer is also working with all clubs to implement stadium protocols based on current public health recommendations, including from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), which are evolving as new information is available.

These new protocols are in place to help you feel confident, safe and comfortable when coming to our stadium and enjoying a seamless experience – from the parking lot and turnstiles, to the concourses and, ultimately, your seats.

However, like each player on a team, you play a key role. Because these protocols require everyone’s cooperation and teamwork, we’ve set out these guidelines to help make this a successful season for all.

Know Before You Go

Face Coverings

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is requiring that all guests age two and up must wear a face covering at all times (other than while actively eating or drinking, which is only permitted in your seats). It is strongly recommended that fans arrive at the stadium wearing face coverings, and wear them walking to and from parking lots or public transit. All Mercedes-Benz Stadium associates are required to wear face coverings.

Please assure that your face coverings (whether disposable or reusable) follow CDC Guidelines including but not limited to:

  • Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin

  • Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face

  • Be secured around the face and allow the guest to remain hands-free

  • Be made with at least two layers of breathable material.

Thanks to our partners at Piedmont Healthcare, branded face coverings will be distributed to all fans in attendance for Atlanta United matches this season.

Social Distancing

All stadium guests are expected to maintain social distancing throughout the stadium, including the seating bowl. Fans should pay attention to signage, only sit in their assigned seats and avoid other fans who are not a part of your group fans attending the event as part of your group. You are required to follow all six-foot physical distancing markers that will be displayed throughout common areas inside and outside stadiums. These markers will help line up for security screening, restrooms, shops and concessions. Game tickets will be distributed in "pods" to support social distancing between each group of ticket-holders attending together, with the expectation that fans will be attending game with family members they have been sheltering and/or with trusting acquaintances. These ticketing pods will be arranged six feet apart from the next seating pod (both in the same row and in front/behind the pod). For this reason, please make sure to sit in your assigned seat as the stadium will be blocking off unassigned seats as part of this effort.

Safe Concessions Experience

Mobile Ordering, Contactless, Individual Packaging

New experiences are in place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to keep you safe when ordering food & beverage. Use our new mobile ordering system ‘Order ‘n Go’ via the Atlanta United app or MBS app for a quick and safe experience. As always, Mercedes-Benz Stadium only accepts card or mobile payments.

All concessions will be individually packaged for your health and safety. All soft drink stations will be served via an attendant and cleaned regularly.

Enhanced Cleaning Measures

We're taking our cleaning and disinfection to the next level. All "high touch" surfaces in stadium common areas will be cleaned before, during and after each game or stadium event. "High touch" surfaces include door handles, elevator buttons, handrails, sink handles, toilets, ATMs and other touch screens, turnstiles, vestibules, and water fountains. All staff members and employees will have their temperatures taken before entering the building. Any person registering a temperature above 100.4 degrees will be flagged and sent home. Also, each game day associate must successfully pass a health screening questionnaire before being granted access to the stadium. Those associates who are working with "high touch" areas and surfaces will be required to wear gloves..

Fan Health Promise

All ticket holders must agree that neither they, nor any of their guests, will attend an event if any one or more of the following is true on event day:

Within the prior 48 hours, they have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4⁰F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the CDC).

Within the prior 14 days, they have travelled to any state or international territory identified by federal or applicable local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.

Within the prior 14 days, they have tested positive for, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19

Please note: According to the CDC, older adults and people of any age with serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19. All guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend a game.

To help maintain physical distancing guidelines, ticket holders must also agree that they will not sell, transfer or otherwise provide any of their event tickets to anyone other than family with whom they have been sheltering (or other trusted acquaintances), unless selling, transferring or otherwise providing all such tickets (i.e., the full pod of tickets) to one party.
