Atlanta United Sells Out Second Straight Home Match

170317 SOLD OUT

Atlanta United has sold out its second straight home match at Bobby Dodd Stadium.  This makes the club the first expansion side and the second-ever MLS club to break the 100,000 mark in combined attendance in its first two home matches.

In an effort to enhance the fan experience at Bobby Dodd Stadium, the capacity was reduced from 55,000 for the home opener to approximately 45,000 for the Chicago match.  Following this week’s competition, Atlanta’s average attendance will be 50,000, placing the club number one in the league. The Seattle Sounders topped MLS in average attendance with 42,636 In 2016.

The next home match will take place on April 30 when Atlanta United hosts Eastern Conference opponents D.C. United. Single match tickets are available here or you can purchase the Atlanta United 4-Game Pack* which also includes entry to matches against Houston, Colorado, and San Jose. (* - Limited Availability)

Ahead of attending Saturday’s match at Bobby Dodd Stadium, Atlanta United would like to remind fans of ways they can help enhance the matchday experience:

Arrive early.  This will not only make parking and traffic flow more efficient, it will improve the entry process at the gates and make getting to seat locations much easier.  F&B locations will be available outside of the stadium security perimeter for fans to enjoy prior to entering the gates.

Clear bag policy.  The clear bag policy will be in place for all ATL UTD matches. Adhering to this policy will also help alleviate lines at the gates.

Digital tickets. Fans are encouraged to download their digital tickets onto their mobile devices prior to arriving at the stadium.  Displaying tickets on the screen and having them ready to scan will improve wait time at gate entries.

Fan behavior:  We appreciate the passion and spirit of Atlanta United fans.  Please remember that fan behavior affects the experience of those around them and is a reflection of the club.  Fans who throw projectiles onto the field will be removed from the stadium and will be subject to suspension.  Offensive & inappropriate chants have no place at Atlanta United matches, and we encourage fans who hear these chants to report them to the nearest security officers or text the GT Help Line at  6784291413 , so that it can be quickly addressed.  Fans engaging in this behavior are subject to removal from the stadium and suspension from future matches.
