Atlanta United 2 lost 2-0 against Chicago Fire FC II at SeatGeek Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The first dangerous chance of the match came in the 23rd minute as Chicago's Omari Glasgow cut down the right wing towards Atlanta's goal, but Jacob Williams pressured Glasgow into a shot from a difficult angle allowing John Berner to easily make a save.

In the 36th minute Atlanta found a chance of their own as Luke Brennan muscled off a defender before darting towards goal. Brennan was met by defenders when he reached Chicago's penalty box and his shot was sent away for a corner kick.

Chicago got on the board just before halftime when in the 39th minute Chicago captain David Poreba was taken down inside the 18 to draw a penalty kick. Harold Osorio stepped up to take the penalty, slotting away his attempt to the bottom right corner of the goal.

The home side came out of halftime with their foot on the gas, pressuring Atlanta's defense into giving away a free kick just outside the box in the 48th minute. Glasgow stepped up to take the set piece and was able to put his shot on frame but Atlanta's wall of defenders deflected his attempt to maintain the 1-0 scoreline.

Just before the final whistle, Glasgow squared up for a chance from distance, firing off a powerful left-footed shot that ricocheted off the crossbar and just over the goal line to pull the scoreline to 2-0.
