ATLANTA (Aug. 17, 2026) — Atlanta United 2 today announced the signing of Academy midfielder Andrew Jardines through the 2027-28 MLS NEXT Pro season. The Cumming, Ga., native signs after graduating from the Atlanta United Academy and making 14 appearances for ATL UTD 2 in 2026.
Jardines is the fourth Atlanta United Academy player to sign with ATL UTD 2 for the 2026 season, along with James Donaldson, Jonathan Ransom and D.D. Sibrian.
The 18-year-old joined the Atlanta United Academy from UFA in August 2024 as part of the U-18 squad. In 2025, Jardines was a member of the U-18 team that defeated the Inter Milan U-18 Academy to reach the semifinals of the Generations adidas Cup. In 2026, he tallied 20 total goal contributions in his final season for the U-18 Academy before making his professional debut on May 10 against Orlando City B.
Since making his debut for ATL UTD 2, Jardines has appeared in 13 consecutive matches, including 10 starts, and has tallied a goal and two assists. The midfielder made his first start on June 6 in a 3-0 win against Chicago Fire FC II and scored his first goal in the following match on June 13 against Chattanooga FC. His 88% pass completion percentage is good for joint-third among qualified ATL UTD 2 players.
