ATLANTA — January 21, 2026 — Atlanta United hosted its Academy College Showcase Saturday at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground. The full‑day event featured more than 100 high-school aged players from 10 participating clubs in front of college coaches from more than 35 programs throughout the country, representing NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA.
The program featured five matches involving 10 clubs including Atlanta United’s Academy and nine local clubs throughout Atlanta. The competitive matches provided valuable exposure opportunities for academy‑level talent across the region.

“This showcase provided some of the top youth soccer players in our region an opportunity in front of programs that can shape their academic and athletic futures,” Atlanta United Director of Methodology Javier Perez said. “We are truly grateful to all the colleges and universities who dedicated their time to attend, as it added immense value to the experience, and meant a great deal to our players and their families. We look forward to continuing our relationship with each of these schools at events like this in the future. We’re also thankful to each of our local club partners for their participation, as we share a common goal of creating more opportunity for all youth players in the region.”
The schedule included matchups between KSA and Concorde, AFC Lightning and Inter Atlanta, Atlanta United and GSA, SSA and AFU, and finally LSA and UFA.

The showcase welcomed an impressive range of collegiate programs representing NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA levels. Attending schools included Army West Point, Belmont Abbey College, Belmont University, Brown University, Campbell University, Chowan University, Clayton State University, Clemson University, Cornell University, Dalton State College, Davidson College, Emory University, Fairfield University, Georgia Gwinnett College, Georgia Southern University, Georgia Southwestern State University, High Point University, Lees‑McRae College, Life University, Mercer University, Middle Georgia State University, Newberry College, Oglethorpe University, Ohio State University, Queens University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of Kentucky, the University of North Georgia, the University of South Carolina, the University of South Carolina Aiken, the University of Virginia, UNC Charlotte, USC Upstate, Tusculum University, West Virginia University, and Wofford College.
