On the eve of their return to Mercerdes-Benz stadium, Atlanta United is training for a potentially high-flying match with New York Red Bulls. The 5-Stripes will bring a squad with a few absences and a few new pieces at their disposal.Â
Jay Fortune suffered a setback this week in training and will miss Atlanta's return to Mercedes-Benz Stadium with a hamstring injury. Head coach Tata Martino did note Friday that the hamstring injury is in a different leg than his previous knock he picked up earlier in the summer.
Will Reilly also had a training related injury that puts his status up in the air. The availability report lists the Homegrown midfielder as questionable for Saturday.Â
Enea Mihaj will serve a suspension after picking up a Red Card against Philadelphia August 1. New signing Mauricio Amaro will also be out for non-injury reasons as he sorts out his visa.Â
The rest of the squad is ready to roll for an important home clash. That includes Steven Alzate, who Martino said was away from the squad nursing an injury and sorting out green card logistics. Paulo DÃaz, who now has his visa, will be eligible for selection for the first time since his arrival to the club.
