At the end of yet another stretch of three matches within a week, Atlanta United will have options to rotate with a healthy squad. The 5-Stripes head up to Washington to face D.C. United and will potentially get two pieces in the squad they didn't have in the midweek.Â
Cooper Sanchez returns from concussion protocol that rendered him unable to play on Wednesday. The Homegrown midfielder has carved out a significant role in the starting lineup, but the 5-Stripes may not want to rush him back. That decision will be up to Sanchez and coaching staff.Â
Elsewhere in the midfield, recent loan signing Giuliano Galoppo is still working to secure his visa to make him match eligible. Head coach Tata Martino said if the midfielder were to complete the process later today, he would fly directly from Canada to meet the team in the capital.Â
Steven Alzate remains out with an illness Martino described as a fever Wednesday night. He'll miss his second consecutive match.
