Head coach Ronny Deila will have the same players to pick from as last week's match as Atlanta United heads up I-75 to face Nashville SC. Just three players will be out with injuries for the match Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. ET according to the club's availability report Friday.
Deila provided a brief update on Emmanuel Latte Lath's hamstring injury Thursday, a knock that sidelined him for the first time last weekend against Toronto.
"He's improving," Deila said after training. "... I hope he's going to be available after the [international] break."
As Latte Lath stays on the sideline, the gaffer has a few of options as to who plays at the No. 9 position. Miguel Almirón filled in as a false nine against Toronto, with Jamal Thiaré appearing off the bench. The Senegalese striker was returning from a calf injury, so another week of training may have been enough for him to start. Cayman Togashi also made a brief cameo Sunday night, and his Leagues Cup appearance in early August as a substitute yielded a goal from a remarkable header.
Matt Edwards and Jay Fortune will remain out nursing other lower-body injuries. Fortune has since progressed to a walking boot after his successful surgery in early July.
