Atlanta United will get two additional contributors back in the matchday squad for their road trip to Columbus, Ohio. Atlanta United 2 defender Nyk Sessock signed a Short-Term Agreement, and Edwin Mosquera was not listed on the club's availability report Tuesday. The two will have a chance to appear Wednesday night against Columbus Crew. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, and you can tune in on Apple TV's MLS Season Pass.

Sessock signed his third Short-Term Agreement of the season and will join the first team on their trip to Ohio. This marks the second-straight match where Sessock has signed an STA, as he made his senior debut for Atlanta United last time out against New York City FC June 12.

Per MLS rules, a club is allowed to sign a player from its MLS NextPro affiliate to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements per season. That player may appear in no more than two matches, so Sessock has one more appearance remaining.

Head coach Ronny Deila said Mosquera won't be a starter when he spoke to media after training Monday. Instead, there's a chance we could see him feature as a substitute. Mosquera's best appearance this season came off the bench, scoring a golazo winner in the season opener against CF MontrƩal.

The coaching staff's reluctance to immediately feature Mosquera as a starter is understandable, as he's missed time with multiple injuries this season. Ramping him back up to full match fitness is a process, and taking it slow will allow him to stay healthy while doing so.

Even with Mosquera back, Atlanta United is still battling the injury bug. Stian Gregersen remains out with a quad injury that has sidelined him now over two months. Derrick Williams won't be available for another couple of weeks, as he injured his foot against NYCFC June 12. The club announced today that Jay Fortune will miss the remainder of the 2025 season with a foot injury he sustained while representing Trinidad and Tobago. Tristan Muyumba won't make the matchday squad with lingering knee issues despite training a couple days this week.

It's a lengthy availability report, but Deila and the 5-Stripes will focus on the pieces they do have at their disposal to face Columbus Crew.
