Carleton scores two in U17 USMNT victory over Portugal

Carleton USMNT 12-1-16

The Atlanta United Homegrown was at it again yesterday as Andrew Carleton struck twice to help propel the U17 USMNT over Portugal 7-1.

The Georgia native opened the scoring fest early by smoothly slotting home a penalty from the spot in the 8th minute. Later in the half, Carleton struck again, this time with a clinical left-footed half volley which skipped past the goalkeeper into the far corner. Immediately following the goal, Carleton and some of his squad gathered in the corner of the field and in an act of celebration, hit the #MannequinChallenge. (see below)

The U17 USMNT will continue its participation in the 2016 Nike Friendlies in Bradenton, Florida when they face Turkey on Friday 12/02.
