Atlanta United released episode six of season three of its all-access video series Rooted in the Stripes, presented by AT&T. The episode, entitled "Spark", is available to watch now on YouTube. The 21-minute installment gives 17s insight into the inner workings of the club's transfer window and its recent matches.
"Spark", like the rest of the series, was produced entirely by Atlanta United's in-house video and broadcast production team and was directed by Sonya Ivashchenko.
Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson features prominently, with quotes from pressers as well as an exclusive sit-down interview. He provides his reasoning as to why the club acquired the players it did during the window and the attributes they're bringing to the squad.
Feature Interviews for "Turbulence" include:
- Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson
- Defender Enea Mihaj
- Defender Juan Berrocal
- Midfielder Steven Alzate
The three signings discuss their initial impressions of Atlanta, the facilities at Atlanta United and the team as whole. Mihaj and Berrocal are vulnerable in talking about how their strong family bonds keep them stable off the pitch and motivate them on it.
Atlanta United's first away win of the season, the 1-0 victory over Nashville at GEODIS park August 30, features in the episode. 17s get a chance to hear what the locker room sounded like after what was one the 5-Stripes' most impressive wins of the 2025 season.
Things can change quickly in soccer, as multiple members of the club say throughout the episode. Henderson leaves fans with a message of hope moving forward.
"We need to have a team this city and these fans are proud of every single week," Henderson said. "Not just the work they're putting in and the effort, but finding ways to win, finding ways at home for our fans to leave the stadium and say, 'I want to do that again.' That is what we're striving for, that is what we're focused on. We have a plan for where we're going to go, just stick with us. Things are going to turn around, and we are committed as a club to getting things right."
