The 2021 MLS Expansion Draft will take place Tuesday Dec. 14 at 7:00 p.m. EST. In the expansion draft Charlotte FC will have the opportunity to pick up to five players in preparation for their inaugural season.
The draft consists of five rounds, in each round Charlotte has three minutes to make their selection from the list of available players, only one player from any single club can be chosen. There are no time outs or trades during the expansion draft.
Once the selections have been made, the clubs whose players have been selected will receive $50,000 in General Allocation Money.
