Atlanta returns home to Fifth Third Bank Stadium for a pair of games, with the first match on Sunday against Indy Eleven. ATL UTD 2 is coming off a tough 3-1 loss at Birmingham Legion FC. Phillip Goodrum scored Atlanta’s lone goal of the match, which was his second goal of the season. With half of the season completed, Atlanta is looking to make a run for a playoff spot and pick up some important points in upcoming matches. Atlanta currently sits one point shy of a playoff spot in the Central Division. 

Last time Atlanta took on Indy, the teams split the points with a 1-1 draw at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on July 7. Jordan Hamilton scored the game’s first goal in the 63rd minute, but Atlanta responded with a goal from Connor Stanley in the 73rd minute to earn a point. More recently, Indy Eleven is coming off a 2-0 win against FC Tulsa on Wednesday night. Gordon Wild and Peter-Lee Vassell each scored late in the second half to secure three points on the road. Going into the weekend, Indy holds the last playoff spot in the Central Division, as it sits in fourth place with 19 points.
