ATL UTD 2 travels to Highmark Stadium to take on Pittsburgh for the first time since 2019. It is Atlanta’s second of four-straight games on the road. Atlanta is coming off a 4-1 win at Sporting KC II. Phillip Goodrum scored two goals and registered an assist, while Darwin Matheus and Tyler Wolff each netted a goal. Additionally, Robbie Mertz and Amadou Macky Diop also each recorded an assist. Going into the weekend, Atlanta sits third in the Central Division with 25 points.

In Week 17, the USL Championship named three ATL UTD 2 players to the Team of the Week: Goodrum, Mertz and Caleb Wiley. Atlanta secured four points in two matches in Week 17. Goodrum scored two goals and registered one assist versus SKC II. Mertz had one goal and two assists across both matches last week. Lastly, Wiley was named to the Team of the Week in back-to-back weeks for his consistent performances.

Pittsburgh is battling for the top of the table of the Atlantic Division with Tampa Bay Rowdies. The Hounds currently sit second in its division with 34 points. Pittsburgh most recently played Tampa Bay to a scoreless draw. The Hounds are looking to return to the win column Sunday, as it is on a three-game winless streak. 


ATL UTD 2 is owned and operated by AMB Sports & Entertainment and is the United Soccer League Championship (USL Championship) affiliate of Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United. ATL UTD 2 joined the USL for its expansion 2018 season and plays its home matches at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw, Georgia.
