Recent Form

Atlanta United is feeling confident coming off a historic win at home. Last weekend, the 5-Stripes shut out New York Red Bulls 1-0 for the club's first-ever regular season win over Red Bulls. New York City has had a mix of results to equate to a 2-2-2 record on the year. However, Yankee Stadium has proven to be advantageous for New York City -- the team is unbeaten at that venue this season.

Last Meeting

In the last six meetings, Atlanta United has not beaten New York City FC, including two matchups last season that resulted in a draw in July at Yankee Stadium and a loss for the 5-Stripes at home on Decision Day. The only team with a longer unbeaten run against the 5-Stripes was New York Red Bulls -- a streak which ended last weekend. So, can the 5-Stripes end a streak against a New York club two weeks in a row?

Players To Watch

Giorgos Giakoumakis (Atlanta United) – Atlanta United's new designated player has gotten off to a hot start since his visa was approved at the beginning of March. In his first two MLS starts, Giakoumakis has scored in both, making him the first player in club history to do so. He scored the lone goal last weekend that led to Atlanta United beating New York Red Bulls for the first time in club history. Look for the Greek striker to continue is scoring prowess in New York this weekend.

Talles Magno (New York City FC) – With some turnover on New York City's roster since last season, one constant is Magno. The striker is playing his third season for New York City FC and leads his team in scoring this season. His two goals on the year includes the equalizer against New England Revolution last time out at Gillette Stadium. The Brazilian will be looking to build off that momentum playing on his home turf.
