Career Summary

Cobb, 18, came through Atlanta United’s Academy, joining with the U-12’s and working his way through the ranks to the First Team, signing his first professional contract with Atlanta United 2 on March 23, 2022, with the defender becoming an Atlanta United Homegrown player effective Jan. 1, 2023.  He was part of the Academy’s U-14 side that won the prestigious Manchester City Cup in 2019, defeating Mexico’s Monterrey in the final 3-2.  

The Chattanooga, Tennessee native made his professional debut on July 18, 2021 against Louisville City FC in the USL Championship. During the 2021 season, the defender made 11 appearances with ATL UTD 2 in the USL Championship, including nine starts. In 2022, Cobb took another step forward by playing in a career-high 26 matches, including 23 starts, in the USL Championship for ATL UTD 2. He played 2,042 total minutes for the squad, which ranked second among outfield players. 

Cobb made his MLS debut on March 25 against Columbus Crew and started two of his three MLS regular season appearances in 2023. He also started Atlanta’s U.S. Open Cup match against Memphis 901 on April 26. The center back started all 18 of his appearances with ATL UTD 2 in the club’s debut season in MLS NEXT Pro, recording three goals and one assist.

2023 (Atlanta United/Atlanta United 2): MLS: Started two of his three appearances and totaled 195 minutes played. Made his MLS debut on March 25 against Columbus Crew. MLS NEXT Pro: Cobb started all 18 of his appearances with ATL UTD 2, recording three goals and one assist.

2022 (Atlanta United 2): Made 26 total appearances, including 23 starts in the USL Championship. Ranked second among outfield players with 2,042 total minutes played. Signed his first professional deal with ATL UTD 2 on March 23, 2022.

2021 (Atlanta United 2): Made his professional debut in the USL Championship on July 18 against Louisville City. Became one of only three 15-year-old players to make their debut for ATL UTD 2. Finished the season with 11 total appearances, including nine starts.
