AMB Sports & Entertainment is the parent company and business support entity of the Atlanta Falcons, new Atlanta stadium and MLS Atlanta.  MLS Atlanta is the new Major League Soccer team, which will begin play in 2017.

In his expanded role, Geoffroy is responsible for directing and overseeing financial and risk management-related initiatives for the three entities, reporting to AMB Sports & Entertainment Executive Vice President Greg Beadles.

“During his time with us, Rob has been a strong contributor to the Falcons and our other businesses,” Beadles said.  “He also has demonstrated his leadership capabilities with our new stadium and in planning for our Major League Soccer team.  Rob is a fine representative of our businesses internally and externally.”

An eight-year veteran of the Atlanta Falcons, Geoffroy joined the Falcons as controller in 2006.  Since that time, he has taken on additional responsibilities including serving as chief financial officer of the Arena Football League’s Georgia Force from 2007-2009 under Falcons Owner & Chairman Arthur Blank’s ownership, and as chief financial officer and, later, chief operating officer of Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers from 2008 to 2013.  Geoffroy was promoted to vice president – finance for the Atlanta Falcons in 2013.

Geoffroy began his career in 1994 as a finance intern for the NBA’s Boston Celtics.  In 1995, he became a staff accountant for the NHL’s New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup Championship before returning to the Celtics in 1996, where he served nine seasons in financial positions of increasing responsibility, including his final role as director of accounting and operations.  He left the Celtics in 2002 to become the chief financial officer and chief operating officer of International Healthcare.

Geoffroy is a graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, Mass., earning a bachelor of science degree in finance.  He serves as a board member of The Link Counseling Center and as a community advisory board member of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Gwinnett.
