Atlanta United 2 announces 2019 roster moves

Atlanta United 2 today announced its roster decisions for the 2019 season. The team exercised options on five players and declined the options of two.


ATL UTD 2 exercised the options of midfielders Kevin Barajas, Laurent Kissiedou and Jack Metcalf, goalkeeper Paul Christensen and forward Yosef Samuel. The team also re-signed defender Tyler Ruthven, who was out of contract following the 2018 season.


Atlanta declined options on goalkeeper Nicolas Caraux and defender AJ Cochran.


Andrew Kendall-Moullin, Shawn Nicklaw and Devon Sandoval are out of contract following the 2018 season.


Forward Rodolfo Freitas da Silva’s loan expired at the conclusion of the 2018 season and will return to Palmeiras in Brazil.


Midfielder Alessandro Castro and forward Diego Lopez both remain under contract for the 2019 season, bringing the total roster to eight.
