After a two-year hiatus, the Generation adidas Cup is back, and the Atlanta United Academy is set to face off against some of MLS NEXT--and the world’s--best youth clubs this weekend in Frisco, Texas. Featuring 80 professional academies from 10 countries, the U-15 and U-17 tournament features the largest field in the 13-year history of the competition.
All 28 current MLS clubs will have academy representation in both divisions, while 2023 MLS expansion side St. Louis CITY SC will field a team in the U-17 division.
The 5-Stripes will feature both its U-15 and U-17 teams in the tournament. Atlanta will go head-to-head with the likes of Celtic FC, FC Porto, Philadelphia Union and more. The full schedules are listed below.

Competition Format
All teams competing in the GA Cup are guaranteed to compete in seven matches. Each match will be 60 minutes in length, comprised of two 30-minute halves. Select matches played inside Toyota Stadium will feature 35-minute halves. The group stage runs from April 9-12 and the knockout phases run from April 13-17.
How to Watch
Games will be broadcast live on MLS’ Twitch and YouTube channels. Only a select number of group stage games will be streamed, none of which include Atlanta United, but you can follow our quest for the cup on our Twitter and Instagram channels. All games from the knockout stage will be available for streaming. More details, including game times and a schedule from that phase, will be announced later.
