Atlanta United announced Friday that forward Edwin Mosquera will leave the club on a loan deal to Millonarios F.C. through June 30, 2026. The deal includes an option for a permanent transfer to the Colombian club.
Mosquera joined Atlanta United July 12, 2022 from Colombian side Deportivo Independiente Medellín. Since then, he's played in 56 MLS regular season matches for the 5-Stripes, picking up five goals and two assists. He's also played at the international level with Colombia's U-20 and U-23 teams.
Mosquera was often used as an injection of pace and directness off the bench. In the 2025 season opener against CF Montréal Feb. 22, he scored the winner from a long way out with a top-corner golazo to secure Atlanta United's first win of the season.
Transaction: Atlanta United loans Edwin Mosquera to Millonarios F.C. for 12 months through June 30, 2026 with an option for a permanent transfer.
