Career Summary

Asiedu, 22, is a native of Dormaa Ahenkro, Ghana and played collegiately at UCLA and Monmouth University. He was a two-time All-Pac 12 Conference player and totaled four assists and three goals in two seasons with the Bruins. Asiedu was named MVP of the 2019 MLS Combine. Before transferring to UCLA, he was named All-MAAC in his two seasons with Monmouth where he recorded five assists and two goals. Asiedu moved to the United States in 2013 and attended St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, New Jersey where he won the 2014 National Championship.

2018 (UCLA): Asiedu appeared in 18 games and made 17 starts. He totaled 1,387 minutes on the field while recording one goal and two assists. Asiedu was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team and was invited to the 2019 MLS Combine. Had an assist in UCLA’s season-opening 4-0 win at Coastal Carolina and picked up his lone goal of the year Oct. 28 at Oregon State.

2017 (UCLA): Asiedu was an All-Pac-12 second team selection after he made 16 starts, scored two goals and two assists.  He recorded first career goal with UCLA against San Diego State (Oct. 15) and netted his second goal in 3-2 loss at California (Nov. 5) He assisted the first goal in a 2-1 win against CSUN (Sept. 24) and tallied an assist on the game-winning goal against Oregon State (Oct. 26).

2016 (Monmouth): Asiedu was named to the All-MAAC second team and earned a spot on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. He started 17 games for the Hawks and added one assist.

2015 (Monmouth): Asiedu started all 20 games played, scoring twice and added four assists. He was named to the All-Northeast Region and All-MAAC First Teams, while also earning MAAC All-Rookie Team accolades. Asiedu scored his first-career collegiate goal in a 3-1 victory over Villanova (Sept. 12). He assisted game-winning goals against Holy Cross (Sept. 19), Seton Hall (Sept. 22) and Manhattan (Oct. 21), while also adding an assist in a 2-0 win over Siena (Oct. 3).
