Atlanta United 2 signed French forward Karim Tmimi on Jan. 13, 2023. The Poitiers, France native joined Atlanta after a prolific collegiate career at Georgia Gwinnett College.
Tmimi finished his first season in MLS NEXT Pro with 26 appearances, including 18 starts, six goals and two assists during ATL UTD 2’s 2023 campaign. Tmimi’s final season at Georgia Gwinnett saw him net 18 goals and add 10 assists across 19 matches. He earned NAIA First Team All-America and Continental Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors en route to the quarterfinal round of the NAIA National Championships. Tmimi finished his college career with 36 goals, a program record, and 18 assists.
Prior to his time in the States, Tmimi played for fifth tier French side US Chauvigny.
