Andrew Carleton US Soccer

As of June 2016, ten U-17 and three U-15 Atlanta United Academy players have been called into camps or are currently on the rosters with Youth National Teams (YNT).

The Atlanta United Academy began pre-season training on August 8, and the players have already shown great potential.  U-15 player George Bello is currently on the U.S. Youth National Team roster and is seeing significant playing time in Europe. U-17 players Chris Goslin, Zyen Jones, Charlie Asencio and homegrown player Andrew Carleton have all been in the residency program with the YNT since January and all hope to play in the U17 World Cup in India in 2017.   U-16 players Blake White and Kendall Edwards will play for the Jamaican Youth National Team in September in the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup. While U16 players Alessandro Castro, Logan Luque, Kendall Edwards have been called in to training camps along with U14 Alejandro Lopez and Daniel Mangarov this August.

Academy Manager Tony Annan is hoping more players will get called up when camps begin for the younger age groups this fall.
"Our academy has a lot of talented players who I am really happy are getting a chance to show their ability at the National team level, obviously they have to keep working hard to achieve their goals but this is a great start for them, and the Atlanta United Academy to have this number of guys involved with US Soccer."
