EA Sports FIFA is a favorite among soccer fans in Atlanta and across the country, and fans of the Five Stripes have been waiting a long time to play with their favorite players in their favorite game. As we inch toward Atlanta United’s debut and release of the 2018 edition, we’re getting our first look at how the players will stack up.  Here’s the top 5 FIFA ratings for Atlanta United players in FIFA 2018:

4th (tied) - Carlos Carmona

The Chilean’s tireless work ethic in the middle of the park has rightly caught the eye of FIFA’s game developers. With good marks in physicality, passing and defense – and a high work rate on both sides of the ball – it seems FIFA has taken notice of Atlanta United’s underappreciated man in the middle.

4th (tied) – Tito Villalba

Speed is always a deadly weapon in FIFA – and in real soccer of course – and Tito has plenty to burn in both. With a scorching 91 pace rating, as well as above average dribbling and shooting stats, Tito is a weapon at the right midfield position. Toss in a four-star weak foot and decent skill moves – and did we mention that pace?! – and Tito can fit as perfectly on your FIFA team as he does for Tata Martino.

3rd – Leandro González Pirez

The Argentinian 25-year-old is blossoming into one of the most dominant center backs in MLS, and he was rewarded with the third-best rating on Atlanta United’s squad. Featuring solid pace and excellent defensive and physical stats, Leandro gets a deserved rare gold card in FIFA 18.

2nd – Josef Martinez

Atlanta United’s Venezuelan striker has proven in less than a season that he’s one of the most ruthless strikers in Major League Soccer. He will start FIFA 18 with a 76 overall rating: grading highly in pace, dribbling and shooting. A tricky, quick player with a lethal finish; you’ll want to get the ball on his foot in the box. Just ask Tata.

1st – Miguel Almirón

Atlanta United’s magical number 10 has catapulted into the MLS stratosphere as one of the league’s brightest young stars, and with lethal pace, dribbling, passing and shooting, Almirón is as well-rounded in FIFA as he is in real life. His overall rating is a team-leading 79, and check out those skill moves!
