Thiago Almada continues to make history with Atlanta United.

The Argentinean midfielder, who became the first active MLS player to win the FIFA World Cup last December, wrote his name in stone forever in Atlanta United's history. At the 25th minute of the 5-1 win vs Portland Timbers, Almada registered the 300th MLS Regular Season assist in the history of the club as Caleb Wiley opened the score.

Almada recovered a ball in the middle of the pitch and fed Wiley a through ball for the American winger to score his third goal of the season.

Almada, who was also voted to the MLS Week 1 Player of the Matchday and to the Week 1 Team of the Matchday, followed in Wiley's footsteps by scoring two goals later in the match. Almada will join the Argentina National Team next week for two friendlies back in his country.
