After recording three goals and an assist in the month of April, Tito Villalba earned the honor of Atlanta United's Top Performer of the Month.
First, some injuries on the squad saw Tata Martino move Villalba into more of a high striker role in their match at Toronto, and the 22-year-old pacy Argentine took no time to adjust, notching a brace to help Atlanta to a 2-2 draw with the 2016 MLS Cup Finalists.
On the team's second trip to Canada, Villalba showcased his vision and passing ability in Montreal as he slipped in Kenwyne Jones for the striker's first-ever goal in MLS.
Just a week later he would set the tone with an early strike that sparked a 3-1 road victory in Utah against Real Salt Lake.
The young DP is just two months into his MLS campaign, and he's proven pivotal for the MLS expansion side and certainly a vital piece in Atlanta United's incredible, conference-leading goal tally of 18.
