Altanta United vs Charlotte FC Rivalry with Daniel RÃos

In this special mini-episode of The History of Atlanta Soccer, presented by Piedmont, we discuss the history of the Atlanta-Charlotte rivalry which has been slowly brewing since the "Queen City" club joined MLS. Ahead of their first meeting in 2024 we talked to a player who knows both sides well, Atlanta United forward Daniel RÃos.
RÃos signed for Charlotte FC when they joined the league in 2022, having played before for another MLS Southern rival, Nashville SC. He later went back to his hometown club Chivas Guadalajara in Mexico, before coming on loan to Atlanta United during the offseason prior to the 2024 MLS season.
During his time at both Nashville and Charlotte he played against Atlanta United, and is now poised to face Charlotte for the first time since he left the club.
