Atlanta United announced today it has declined its option on midfielder Junior Burgos for the 2017 season.
Burgos originally signed with the club on Feb. 2, 2016 and spent last season on loan with Tampa Bay Rowdies during its final season in the North American Soccer League (NASL) before the club transitions to the United Soccer League (USL) in 2017. Burgos played in eight games, made four starts and scored one goal.
