Atlanta United's Romario Williams continues stellar USL season with stunning goal

170302 Williams Otoo Loan

Saturday was a frustrating night for Atlanta United fans, but there was some good news for lovers of the Five Stripes. Romario Williams, the 22-year-old Jamaican forward currently on loan at the Charleston Battery, continued his stellar USL season with this latest effort, a stunning curler against Louisville City FC:

Romario joined Atlanta United in preseason from Montreal Impact, where he was on loan at the Battery. Atlanta sent him back to the USL affiliate, where he is making a case for a call-up to the top division next season. He now has ten goals so far this year, well on pace for the 16 goal mark that was good enough to earn the USL golden boot last season.

Atlanta United will get a close-up look at the Battery later this month, when Charleston comes to the ATL for the red, black and gold's debut in the US Open Cup on June 14th. Tickets are still available for that match, which will be held at Kennesaw State University's campus. You can secure your spot here.
