What’s next in ATL UTD’s pursuit of history

An unforgettable inaugural regular season has come to a close and it’s mission accomplished: Atlanta United is the first expansion team since 2009 to make the MLS Cup playoffs. But our season doesn’t end at 34 matches; the playoffs are coming soon. So what’s next for the Five Stripes?

First things first: the red, black and gold is coming back to Atlanta. Sunday’s draw meant Atlanta United finished in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, good enough to clinch home-field in the first-round knockout game. They will face the Columbus Crew at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Thursday.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and if you can’t make it in person, it will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
