Today marks one year since Atlanta United officially became the 5 Stripes, when the now-iconic red and black kit became the club's first ever look. A lot has happened in that year – here's a look at some of the highlights.

When it all started. A memorable night for all involved as the Atlanta United faithful packed into the historic Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta.
Waka Pledges His Support
Waka Flocka has been an Atlanta United fan since day one, so the club was happy to get him in the Five Stripes before the season ever kicked off.

The ATL UTD superfan group grew by one later that month when Usher Raymond threw his support behind the red, black and gold.
Behind the Stripes
The kit tells the story behind the club. The launch of the Behind the Stripes series allowed the club to tell the stories of all the voices leading the club from player to fan and everyone in between – connected by the kit that brings them all together.
The Debut
The first time the Five Stripes took the field. The team's first match against Chattanooga FC in the preseason was a memorable debut for the red, black and gold shirt.
The First MLS Goal
A moment no Atlanta United fan will ever forget. The very first goal – and goal celebration – in Atlanta United history.
The Academy Kit
The integration between the youth and senior teams is an important part of Atlanta United's mission, so it was only right that the future of Atlanta United sported their own version of the Five Stripes.
5 Stripes Unified
The launch of the Atlanta United Special Olympics Unified Team was another historic moment for the club and a new chapter in the story of the 5 Stripes kit.
Roan Gets His Stripes
A story that started with a shirt. When a video of Roan receiving Carlos Carmona's shirt went viral, he got a special invite to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground to meet his heroes in person.
5 Stripe Friday
Every Friday, the city of Atlanta puts on its red, black and gold as the 5 Stripes takes over the city. That was especially true in the days leading up to the team's debut at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, when the whole city joined in celebration of our new chapter.

What better way to celebrate the birthday of the man they call Uncle Arthurthan with his own giant 5 Stripe kit.
5 in the Top 25
Just days before its first birthday, the 5 Stripes kit officially set the benchmark for MLS. ATL UTD fans' incredible support made five Atlanta United kits land in the top 25 in the league for kits sold, and put Miggy's #10 in the top spot.
It's been a memorable year for the 5 Stripes, and there's plenty in store for year two.
