Atlanta United today announced it has extended and expanded its partnership with Piedmont Healthcare that will see Georgia’s largest healthcare provider become the club’s new sleeve sponsor on Atlanta United kits. Piedmont Healthcare, the Official Adult Healthcare Partner of Atlanta United, will also become the kit sponsor for Atlanta United 2.

“Piedmont Healthcare is an industry leader with a strong record on quality and safety and we’re thrilled to expand our successful partnership,” Atlanta United President Darren Eales said. “Innovating continuously is a core value at the Blank Family of Businesses and we’re excited that we’ll become only the second MLS team to utilize the sleeve sponsor.”

In March of 2018, Piedmont Healthcare became the Official Adult Healthcare Partner of Atlanta United and ATL UTD 2, providing a Chief Medical Officer for both teams. Those responsibilities included overseeing and providing medical care to all of the club’s professional players. In addition to the kit sponsorships, Piedmont Healthcare will become the presenting sponsor of all Atlanta United local TV broadcasts on FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Southeast and the FOX Sports Go app.

In addition, Piedmont Healthcare will receive increased exposure on match days through assets in stadium, on local television and radio broadcasts, as well as integration into Atlanta United’s social platforms. This includes promotion of the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation, which is helping to raise $150 million for the Piedmont Atlanta Tower, the system’s new state-of-the-art facility, which will open later this year.

With more than 750 locations and 11 hospitals, Piedmont treats more than 2.5 million patients annually and serves communities in which 70 percent of the state’s population reside. With an increase in patient needs expected over the next decade, Piedmont’s growing orthopedics service line delivers the highest-quality care in the most appropriate setting, including outpatient ambulatory surgery centers, medical office facilities, and hospitals to achieve excellent patient satisfaction, quality care, and cost effectiveness.

“Piedmont Healthcare is proud to be Atlanta United’s Official Adult Healthcare Sponsor,” said Kevin Brown, President and CEO, Piedmont Healthcare. “We are expanding our offerings in orthopedics and this sponsorship is a great way to showcase those services. Our commitment to delivering high-quality clinical care and a one-of-a-kind experience that always puts patients first, just as we have done for our community for nearly 115 years, is a game-winning combination.”

Atlanta United’s preseason continues on Tuesday, Feb. 11 when it travels to Guadalajara, Mexico to play a friendly at Estadio Jalisco against Leones Negros of Ascenso MX, Mexico’s second division.
