This week, amidst the feat of clinching playoffs, Atlanta United players received high honors as MLS released their annual "24 Under 24" list, compiled by league writers ranking the performance and potential of the league's top players under the age of 24. A trio of Atlanta's 23-year-olds were named in the top 11 with Yamil Asad coming in at #11, Hector "Tito" Villalba earning #8 and Miguel Almir贸n topping the entire list at #1.

The three together are a key component of the South American contingent that's spearheaded the front line of Atlanta all year. The notoriously fast-paced attack has taken the league by storm and is on track to have one of the highest scoring seasons MLS has ever seen. By the numbers, Asad, Villalba and Almir贸n have combined for 27 goals and 35 assists, helping to truly leave a mark in the club's first season in the league as well as their own.

Their consistent, stellar performances and contributions this season certainly warrant spots in the league's hailed 24 Under 24 list of young stars.
